Who can have Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS)?

As SSS is not an actual vision problem, people who have perfect vision as well as those who have to wear glasses for particular visual difficulties may have it. Opticians, optometrists and other vision specialists probably will not identify this problem, because it is not a visual system weakness and testing is not readily available in all educational settings. It affects both sexes equally and there does appear to be a hereditary factor.
