The long monophthongs 

FLEECE

[i:] occurs in WSAfE, StHE, CFE, InSAfE, northern NigE, IndE, PakE and occasionally in GhE, GhP and MalE. [i] is reported in BlSAfE, EAfrE, southern NigE, GhE, CamE, LibSE, NigP, Kamtok, GhP, SgE and MalE. [ɪ] is reported as a lesser variant in IndE. In PhlE there is no distinction between KIT and FLEECE, though under the influence of Philippine languages there appears to be free variation, with a tendency towards [i:] rather than [i] or [ɪ].
