Love and feelings of affection are deeply rooted in the human soul, and they are what children need most in their early years. If they are deprived of them, they will suffer from various psychological complexes.
Orphans, children of discord, and those who have lost one of their parents will certainly miss out on some source of affection, whether it is the father or the mother.
In addition, a family in which the light of affection, understanding, and tolerance does not shine will show many painful spiritual problems and damage to social ties.
Parents who give affection and tenderness to their child can make him understand the love of others and how to love them; as for the child who has not received enough affection and has not tasted the flavor of tenderness, he does not realize this valuable, noble, and good truth.
The love that the child receives from the moment of his birth represents the secret behind the development of his future emotional and mental abilities.
There are several points to deepen affection and love in the souls of children, including:
- Consolidating the basic concepts of the principle of accepting others; Such as moderation, respect for beliefs and convictions, rejection of sectarianism and extremism, and making him understand the necessity of the existence of others and their importance.
- Allowing him to express his feelings, especially on occasions, and it is useful for him to memorize texts that carry meanings of love and affection towards those he loves.
- Hugging and kissing are among the procedures that arouse children's emotions and deepen the language of love in their souls, as it was stated in the description of the characteristics of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace: When he woke up, he would stroke his children's heads. And on the authority of Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, he said: (Kiss your children frequently, as for every kiss you will have a degree in Paradise).
- Urging children to help the poor and provide aid to the needy and weak, while feeding them with meaningful stories in this regard.
