Seven activities to reduce domestic bullying

It appears through observation and experience that cases of family bullying occur as a result of the negative nutrition that family members receive, whether it comes from the father and mother, or a family member who suffers from mental illness such as depression, outbursts of emotions, nervousness, etc.

Addictions such as sitting on the Internet and randomly browsing of social networking sites and the negative content they contain has a great effect in eliminating irritable moods. The outburst of intense negative feelings that may lead to bullying and severe violent behavior.

To reduce cases of bullying resulting from negative feedback - whether its source is the family or social environment or virtual sites -; we provide families with several activities that will help them with this matter:

- Physical activities: such as exercising at home, and doing household chores, that is, striving to relieve negative energy by exerting physical effort. It is very useful to join a sports club to practice exercises, the most important of which is swimming.

- Artistic activities: such as drawing, learning photography, and practicing other artistic hobbies. It is very beneficial to sit in picnic and entertainment places and practice drawing and photography. Participating in reciting religiously permissible chants.

- Learning useful professions and crafts: such as sewing, embroidery, and repairing electronic devices. It is useful for family members to participate in exchanging viewpoints and teamwork.

-Entertaining group games: such as intellectual puzzles and solving crossword puzzles. There is no secret that playing with children and their participation has a psychological impact on deepening the bonds of communication and exchanging activities in an atmosphere of fun and happiness.

- Sleeping and relaxing: The body has limited energy, and the pressure on the self with a lot of work makes a nervous person angry for the most trivial reason. Sleeping and relaxing adequately restores the body’s vitality and activity.

- Reading paper books and magazines: on intellectual, literary, and family topics, but not electronic books. Opening windows of dialogue with family members to exchange opinions and ideas about the book’s topics.

- Holding preaching and remembrance gatherings, praying together, reciting the Holy Qur’an, and reading supplications on Friday nights as a group; they are spiritual oases that purify souls from evil motives.
