Child and ugly words

There are multiple ways and methods to correct the child's behavior and eliminate the phenomenon of ugly words in him, and these methods are based on scientific foundations to suppress this behavior, and we refer to some of them as follows:

First: Education and Awareness: Before taking any action in the field of reform, we must see the extent of information that the child possesses. Does he understand the meanings of those words and terms or not? If he does not have the necessary information, then the situation requires that he be provided with the necessary information, but if he repeats the use of those words with his knowledge of their ugliness, then attention must be paid to the matter and followed up.

 

Second: Showing dissatisfaction:

If advice and education does not show any benefit, then dissatisfaction must be announced to him about his actions and the unwillingness to hear these words from him. Even if a group of children were observed repeating ugly words, they should be advised and warned that these words are not desirable.

 

Third: Expressing anger: Necessity sometimes requires parents to express their anger at such words emanating from their child, so that he understands that his parents are angry at him. This attitude comes, of course, after previous advice and instructions that did not have an effective effect on changing his behavior.

 

If the child is one of those who cares a lot about the positions of his parents (and this is how it should be), then he must be affected by their anger and try to avoid it.

 

Fourth: Deprivation: If the aforementioned methods did not affect in reforming, we will become compelled to deprive him of something he loves, or that we get angry with him, and do not speak to him. It is clear that this method is useful when the effect of deprivation is severe on him. However, care must be taken not to turn this method into a situation that makes him feel despair of us or deprived of everything, because such a feeling entails greater risks and damages.

 

Fifth: Warning and Threat Method: In the end, after exhausting all formulas and methods, we may have to warn and threaten the child to scare him, to see what happens next? How will he act after that?

Of course, the threat that we declare must be practical, and we have the ability to implement it, and we avoid what cannot be implemented. Because such a situation has negative effects, with results of which will appear later.
