It was narrated that it was stated in the noble hadith: (An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure).
This matter (prevention) must be taken into account before engagement and marriage, because if we ignore it, we may ruin our marital life in the future.
Doctors prevent many marriages from continuing or from taking place at all. The governments of modern and civilized countries have enacted laws that prohibit any marriage without these laboratory tests, and in the absence of them, the registration of the spouses in government departments is prohibited. Whoever marries without these tests exposes his life to unhappiness and misery, as sometimes his blood type is not compatible with his wife’s blood. Then the fetus becomes afflicted with permanent diseases and disabilities such as thalassemia and others, and then the parents suffer from their child, and after that regret is of no use. Therefore, all those who intend to get married should undergo these tests, which are not expensive, but rather acceptable. We say which is better, paying money for laboratory tests or paying it for pediatric medicine, if the medicine is useful, not to mention the suffering and psychological crises that the family is exposed to, and then marital life is greatly destroyed. Unfortunately, some doctors ignore these applicable laws regarding examinations and are lenient in giving false results in a way that is contrary to the truth and false to reality, in exchange for a handful of money or (intermediary) by so-and-so or prior knowledge between the doctor and the spouses. The greatest blame lies with the spouses because they dig their own graves, and they do not realize this until after something unexpected happens.
