It was only a short time after the launch of the Intel Raptor Lake series of desktop CPUs that professional overclockers set out to break world records with this new generation.

The overclockers chose the Core i9-14900KF central processor instead of the i9-14900k. The reason is that the overclocker prefers a central processor chip that does not include an integrated graphics processor in order to improve overclocking ability as much as possible.

Core i9-14900KF comes with 24 cores and 32 threads and operates at a standard frequency of up to 3.2 GHz, with Thermal Velocity Boost technology the processor frequency can reach 6 GHz, a third-level cache of 36 MB, and a second-level cache of 36 MB 32 MB.

This version does not include an integrated graphics processor, and supports DDR5 memory with a frequency of 5600 MHz and DDR4 memory with a frequency of 3200 MHz, and the platform on which the processor is based can accommodate a memory size of 192 GB. The processor consumes 125 watts of power and the maximum consumption rate reaches 253 watts. The processor is priced at $589.

Overclocking professionals SkatterBencher, Elmor, Shamino, and Bing collaborated to smash the highest number a processor can reach. The overclocking team relied on the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard, which is best for this task. The cooling system used was not air, water, or liquid nitrogen. Rather, the team relied on liquid helium due to its extremely low temperature of 233 degrees Celsius below zero, and with the long experience of this team. It was able to reach a frequency of 9043.92 MHz.

This tremendous frequency placed the Elmor team at the top of the HWBOT list, and these results were recognized and verified on the CPU-Z program. In order for these results to be officially recorded, these platforms require clear and precise validation before they can be approved.

Another overclocking of the Intel Core i9-14900KF processor achieved a frequency of 9.1 GHz, but until this moment the result has not received official confirmation of its inclusion in the list, and the only proof is the attached image only of the CPU-Z program.
