The righteousness of the parents is the highest degree of benevolence to them. It includes all that is required of care and attention, and Allah has associated the command to honor the parents, with His worship. One of the Magnificence of the Islamic religion is its glorification of righteousness to parents until it became known by it. Indeed, Islam is a religion of righteousness. The greatest of righteousness is parental righteousness Which if the believer spent his whole life in obtaining it, it would be better than the supererogatory jihad. And the opposite of righteousness is disobedience, and its result is disastrous leading to being deprived of paradise.
